Classes & Camps

We offer one-on-one classes as well as special classes for your particular interests.  Be it heirloom technique sewing, software tips or just getting to know that “new to you” machine.  Sewing Camps are held in the summer for the young, new-to machine sewing enthusiasts.  Older enthusiasts are also welcome to join in.  We are a local distributor of DIRECTIONS patterns, an excellent program for teens and adults who seek to understand sewing. This program is used in all of our classes and camps. DIRECTIONS patterns provide a solid grasp of a variety of sewing skills and intuitive sewing knowledge. We also have beautiful instructive books and magazines from Australia to help you do it yourself.

*Since many of us have allergies, we ask that you please be considerate and DO NOT wear any perfumes to class.

Event and Retreat Enthusiasts

We encourage you to visit and attend sewing and embroidery events whenever possible, to enhance your sewing creativity.  There are so many talented people with products, techniques and tips that you will be inspired to support them and this industry.  IF while attending the event, BabyLock or Elna products are featured please note that you can and should offer us the opportunity to match the offer and allow us the same service to you that that distant event or dealer would be extending to you, in reality.  That gesture on your part would allow you to keep US as YOUR local dealer ready to serve you after the event.* So go have fun, get fired up for more creativity and feel good about where your service and education is going to come from.

Class Policy

Class fees are due at the time of registration. You may register by paying on-line, in person, by mail, by email, lor by telephone. We accept all major charge cards, checks or cash. Your payment assures your space in class and is your commitment to the class and the instructor. Students will receive Royalty Reward Points for class supplies purchased at The Sewing Garret. This also helps to keep class fees reasonable. Class space is limited. If you must cancel, you can reschedule for another class or receive a Store Credit for the full amount.
